Interview originale

She has appeared in several films including Summer Catch (2001), Black Knight (2001), The Notebook (2004), End of the Spear (2006), Mr. Brooks (2007) and Elena Undone (2010).  She has also appeared on the TV shows Dawson’s Creek for two episodes, One Tree Hill for one episode and has appeared in Supernatural for four episodes.

Describe yourself in your own words
I’m a sensual and sober living artist and humanitarian.

What do you do and how did you get into it?
I do many things; however, I’m an actress by trade.  I started on stage and progressed, slowly, into films and television.

Are you single or perhaps into a relationship?
Single.

Mention some of your latest work or achievements
I play “Pamela Barnes”, a super fun recurring guest star role on the television show, “Supernatural”.  One of my latest feature films, “To.get.her”, in which I have a supporting role, won the audience award at the Sundance Film Festival, 2011.

My most amazing accomplishment of late has been the fact that I actually cleaned out 3 of my closets before Spring!

What is your opinion about same-sex marriages?
It should be legal everywhere as it is for heterosexual couples.  Love is love.

Tell me more about your music involvements.
I’ve been studying and playing West African drums for years.  I played in a world fusion band called, The Groove Goddesses, on the east coast.  We’d put a groovy African beat to a Beatles song or harmonize on a Rumi poem to some rocking rhythm.  I’ve also had the extreme pleasure of playing the legendary country singer, Patsy Cline, twice in the theater production, “Always…Patsy Cline”.  I’m seriously considering producing that show here in West Hollywood!

How do you relax and get away from it all?
I’ve got a long list of things I love to do.  I hike, soak in dreamy baths, meditate, paint, drum, dance in my living room, play music on my balcony or with friends, reading/writing poetry and stories, tweeting, and practicing yoga are a few of my favorite things.

What is your beauty routine?
Lots of water, physical movement/activities that bliss me out, and being kind to people.

What do you enjoy most about fashion?
Fashion is like personal poetry.  It’s an intimate experience to dress myself and then, share it socially.  Generally, I love color and soft, textured fabrics; however, like poetry – fashion is determined by the present event and experience.

What are the qualities you most admire in a man?
Their ablity to grow amazing, gorgeous beards!

What are your comments about the cinematic record for the longest screen kiss (3.24 minutes) in the movie you starred – Elena Undone?
For the record, I love and respect Nicole and Marina; however, I completely disagree with having the longest kiss in “Elena Undone”.  I felt like it was way too long and practically begged them to cut it.  I’m not into marketing gimmicks.  This one felt gimmicky.  What I would have liked to create is the HOTTEST kiss.  I find a kiss most sexy when one’s lips linger just before contact.  It’s the space in between the notes that make music beautiful and rhythms groove.

What is your opinion on soul mates?
They exist.

Have you ever kissed someone of your same sex besides on set?
Yes.

If you could, would you change anything about yourself?
I’d have super powers.

What’s your sense of style and what do you wear on a daily basis?
I’d like to say I’m an elegant tomboy with an occasional hint of drag queen.  The only thing I wear on a ‘daily’ basis is a lovely watch my Mamacita gave to me and my turquoise ring.

What does your most ideal day consist of?
A day full of being creative, physically active and connected to my SOURCE, loved ones and fans.

What are your hopes, dreams and fears for the future?
For myself?  I’d love to be a series regular in a fabulously written T.V. series that inspires many.  Along with that, I dream to manifest many outreach programs to help troubled teenagers.  Man, it’s so tough being a teen.  Of course, I’m already involved with animal rescue, but I’d like to take that to the next level & see our human race interact with animals & nature with the utmost respect and awe they deserve.
